Seveda.
Brez kupa dovoljenj raznim osnovnim programom je mobilni telefon praktično neuporaben.
A mene precej bolj moti, da se določen funkcij sploh možno izklopiti/izbrisati in da zbirajo in koristijo podatke brez da uporabniki sploh vemo, kdo, kako in zakaj.
Ne štekaš sploh. Ne gre za dovoljenja uporabe kamere in podobnega, ki jih aplikaciji seveda moraš dat, da deluje. Gre za dovoljenje ZA ZBIRANJE PODATKOV. Torej ne, da to počnejo na skrivaj, ampak jim ti to dovoliš, da lahko sploh odkleneš telefon. Ne mešaj v to dovoljenja, ki so potrebna za delovanje aplikacij. Poglej, naj kaj privoliš z uporabo telefonov Xioami. In to imajo napisano črno na belem. In pazi, ne samo te podatke o tebi, ampak tudi o tvojih stikih! Ko kupiš njihov telefon, si praktično njihov. Vsi tvoji osebni podatki, podatki o bančnih računih, službeni podatki, fotografije, vse vse o tebi, do vsega imajo pravico. In na to si z uporabo telefona pristal. In pridobijo vse podatke tudi o tvojih stikih. Pa to je noro, da se sploh lahko prodaja.

TL;DR: Yes, I believe so. Personally, I wouldn’t use a Xiaomi device. I took a closer look since a family member asked me this about their Redmi Note 5. I asked the person to remove all my information from their phone and suggested they return the device back.
Long version? Lets look at their official privacy policy. It’s actually not that hard to read these, I wish people read them more often. Anyway, if they’re caught lying on their privacy policy, they’ll be severely sued or even banned from importing into the country. So it’s a good thing to go with.
As of July 2018, it says:
We will only collect the information that is necessary for its specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes.
This is up for debate. I feel the collection is extremely broad and beyond that is necessary for the software to work. So lets look closer at some points, emphasis is mine.
Information you provide to us or upload (including your contact details): we may collect any and all personal information you provide to us, like your name, mobile phone number, email address, delivery address, ID card, driver license, passport details, Mi Account details (e.g. your security related information, name, birthday, gender), order, invoicing details, materials or data you may sync through Mi Cloud or other apps (e.g. photos, contact lists), information in relation to creating an account and participating in the MIUI Forum or other Xiaomi platforms, phone numbers you insert into your contacts or to send a message, feedback, and any other information you provide us.
This is what really ticked me off. Even if you don’t care about your personal data, your contacts haven’t granted permission to Xiaomi or you. This sort of covert data collection could be illegal. Consult your lawyer but in the EU and US it doesn’t look too bright.
Financial information: information related to completing purchases. For example, bank account number, account holder name, credit card number etc.
This is so insanely crazy, I don’t need say anything more …
Social information: information related to your social activities. For example, current employer, current job title, education background, professional training background etc.
So you spend several hundred dollars to buy a phone. Yet the phone vendor wants to grab your personal data.
People assume personal data is purely to avoid embarrassing moments (“I have nothing to hide”) but are ignorant that in 2018 your digital identity is same as your financial identity. Intentional or accidental data misuse means a cyber criminal use your personal but previously private data, to create bank accounts, take out a loan under your identity. They take off, leaving you liable. How about an extra $1M loan under your name?

Če ne vpišeš določenih podatkov pred prvo uporabo telefona, telefona ne moreš (normalno) uporabljati. Torej, kakor hitro te podatke (hočeš – nočeš) vpišeš, jim dejansko omogočiš dostop do vsega v svojem telefonu.
Če ostali nečesa izrecno ne napišejo, da to počnejo, to ne pomeni, da so boljši in da določenih zadev ne počnejo.
